The Figure Skating Club 'Espoon Jäätaiturit'
Espoon Jäätaiturit ry (EsJT) is a figure skating club grounded in 1985. It is a member of Finnish Figure Skating Association.
The home rink of the club is Laaksolahti Arena in Espoo, which is the second biggest city in Finland. Espoo is situated near Helsinki (about 20 km from Laaksolahti to Helsinki City), the capital city of Finland.
EsJt has had great skaters who have represented Finland in many international competitions (f.ex. Europeans, Junior Worlds, Worlds and Olympics):
The skaters of EsJT have achieved every year (1986-2009) medals in the Finnish Championships (SM) and/or The Nordic Championships (PM). Last two seasons a medal also in ISU European Figure Skating Championships (EM).

Among other single skaters of our club are five younger skaters who belong to the national project team for young skaters.
Espoon Jäätaiturit has about 400 skaters including about 30 competing single skaters (in groups K1, K2 and K3) and four synchronized skating teams (Valley Bay Synchro, Valley Bay Synchronics, Valley Bay Synchronettes, and Valley Bay Evergreens).
Our synchronized skating team Espirales, was 2nd in Novices in French Cup International in Rouen 1999, 5th in Juniors in Spring Cup 2001 in Milano, Italy and 3rd in Juniors in Cup of St.Petersburg, 2002. Valley Bay Synchro was 8th in Novices in Spring Cup 2004 in Milano, Italy. Our syncronized skating team Valley Bay Synchronics was 1st in Novices in Spring Cup 2007 in Milano, Italy, 2nd in Novices in Prague Cup 2008 and 2nd in Novices in French Cup 2009.
